Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, is based in British Columbia, Canada. Founded in Penticton in 1947 as the Penticton and District Credit Union, Valley First was established in 1983 following a period of expansion through the Okanagan and Similkameen valleys. In 2013, Enderby & District Credit Union joined First West Credit Union, followed by Island Savings Credit Union in 2015. The credit union's members have access to 53 branches and 40 insurance offices throughout B.C. The credit union has approximately $10 billion in assets, more than 1,700 employees, and more than 240,000 members. A number of the credit union's subsidiary businesses operate under the Valley First name, including Valley First Insurance Services and Valley First Investment Services. In 2010, Valley First launched its signature cause, Feed the Valley.
